RNR and Budget Hearing Notice

Notice of Hearing to Exceed Revenue Neutral Rate and Budget Hearing

The City of Kingman will hold two public hearings on September 11, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 324 N Main.

The first hearing will be on exceeding the Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR). Immediately following, the governing body will conduct the 2026 budget hearing.

Both hearings are open to the public and provide taxpayers the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback about how city funds are used and the amount of property tax (ad valorem) to be levied for the 2026 budget year.

The proposed 2026 budget calls for total expenditures of $13.967 million, with a proposed property tax levy of $1.698 million. This represents an estimated tax rate of 70.763 mills, compared with last year’s rate of 73.914 mills.

Detailed budget information is available at City Hall during regular business hours.
