RESCUE TECHNICIAN – PART-TIME

Kingman EMS is currently accepting applications for part-time Rescue Technicians. Rescue Technicians are paid hourly and respond to a wide variety of EMS calls throughout Kingman County. Calls may range from car accidents to medical emergencies. You must be at least 18 years of age and live within the City of Kingman. No experience is necessary, but candidates should be comfortable lifting and using heavy hydraulic rescue tools. Rescue technicians also assist medics in medical emergencies, such as performing CPR and lifting/moving the sick and injured. Candidates will be required pass background screens, drug testing, and pre-employment physical. Rescue technicians respond voluntarily and are paid per hour when responding with one hour paid minimum. Volunteer Firefighters:  The City of Kingman is looking for energetic and eager members for its volunteer fire department.  The fire department provides Kingman and some of the surrounding townships with essential fire protection.  Members of the fire department are part-time City employees who are paid a small stipend for training, meeting attendance, and fire call responses.  Training meetings are held on Wednesday evenings.

Personal protective equipment is provided to firefighters.  The time commitment is dependent upon the number of calls received.  While this is a volunteer service, it is very helpful if members respond to as many calls as possible when they are in the area.   The City of Kingman is an equal opportunity employer.

City of Kingman Summer Laborer:  The City of Kingman is seeking candidates for the position of summer laborer.  Multiple openings are available.  These positions will work in various departments such as street and maintenance; water; electric; and parks.

Minimum qualifications require candidates to be a Kingman resident, possess a valid Kansas driver’s license, be 18 years of age, and have the ability to do physical labor.  Starting dates will be flexible and 40-hour workweeks are anticipated.  The positions will generally be for the summer months, but opportunities exist to start immediately.  The pay will be $15 per hour.

City of Kingman Transportation Driver:  This is a fulltime position.  The driver will transport passengers to requested destinations within the city limits on the City’s general public transportation system.  Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.  Applicants must also have a current Kansas driver’s license with a good driving record and pass DOT physical requirements.  A CDL is not required for this position.  Periodic alcohol and drug testing will be performed.  The City of Kingman is an equal opportunity employer with excellent benefits.  Residency is required for this position.  Applications will be taken until position is filled.  Applications are available at City Hall or at www.cityofkingman.com/jobs.
